Who we are.
You may wonder who we are, to come up with an invitation to tackle the world problematique from a different perspective and in different ways than usual.
Here is an brief answer to that question.

<hr>
Let us briefly outline our background.

We are a small group of independent, and yet, interdependent persons.

  • We all share a concern for the common good in continuity.
  • Although many of us are retired, we all are still actively involved in a search for ways to trigger in society before it becomes too late, a move away from a common conundrum that worsens by the day.
  • In our group there are, among others, senior professionals of various disciplines (engineering, agrology, biology, social science, etc) who combined their technical qualitications and experience with wide readings in philosophy, history, social science and politics.

  • Some of our members have worked in positions of responsibility in the public and private sectors. They have taken part in national and international exchanges, congresses, conferences, debates,etc. They have proposed opinions, listened to other people's opinions etc. Over several decades, they have been actively involved in diverse fields of activity:
    • policy evaluation, design and implementation at local, regional, national and even international levels,
    • design of international aid projects and programs, participation in their implementation, evaluation and repair of some of them,
    • preliminary study, design, supervision and evaluation of large land and water resource development schemes with important human components that were too often ignored or downplayed by the project initiators and managers; and sometimes even in the direct participation in their implementation;
  • We have always examined what we heard, thought and did, with a critical mind, without excepting ourselves from the critique.

    For information, a brief description of the initiator of the NetCFS is provided.
